Welcome to The Village Elves

The Elves began in 1997 when a group of neighbors in the Village of Milford wanted to adopt a family who need assistance giving their children a traditional special Christmas morning they could cherish.  Retired-Milford Police Officer, Rick Sharp found the first family for the Elves and The Village Elves were formed.  Since that very special Christmas morning in 1997 the Elves have grown to over 400 Elves who are from all communities surrounding the Huron Valley area. Twenty-four years later The Elves work under the direction of The Milford, Michigan Police Department in conjunction with Huron Valley Schools & Papa Elf with his keepers- Joyfully helping area families in need enjoy memorable Christmas.

Maxine's Memorial Meals

Maxine circle.jpg

Maxine Brainer, Mother of Papa Elf & Founder, Greg  Brainer, passed away Thanksgiving Day of 2021.  Everyone who entered her home she would insist upon feeding. If someone in the family or neighborhood was not able to cook for themselves for any reason, Maxine always made excess homemade meals for them.  She always worried about people having enough quality food to eat.  What better way to memorialize her than to raise money to buy our yearly Christmas Families a full premade quality Christmas Dinner and assist them with pantry items throughout the year if they are in need. If you would like your donation to be specifically used for food, please indicate with your donation "In Memory of Maxine".

12.20.2019 The Elves strike again paying off $550.00 in past due lunch accounts for students at Johnson Elementary School with local merchant, 'Your Nesting Place'  blessing the families with half of the funds needed.

2020, was the most amazing year for our Elf Families.  13 family wish lists filled before gift drop off deadline. The video to the right is so heart warming to see the kindness and generosity of the Huron Valley Community  Merry Christmas and God Bless all.
